Hi! To begin with, we at Psychfullness, think it’s great that you decided to take up therapy and acknowledge your feelings. Not many people are able to make this decision and we are proud of you (and we hope you’re proud of yourself for this too!)
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our mental health services. You agree to be bound by these terms and conditions by accessing or using our services. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
By accessing this website, it is assumed that you accept these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to all of the terms and conditions outlined on this page, please discontinue using Psychfullness.
MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
We offer "therapy/counselling" using an eclectic approach, recognizing that individuals may require diverse techniques and methodologies for improvement. We welcome feedback and encourage you to communicate any discomfort.
Please note, that we are unable to offer "support" (communication via calls/text) during a "crisis" (self-harm/emergency/harmful situation). Our services are confined to one (1) hour sessions, and appointment slot bookings are arranged through messages outside of these sessions.
CONFIDENTIALITY:
Sessions are strictly confidential and private between you and the therapist. Any session notes taken by the therapist are solely accessible to them and do not include personal information such as your name or contact details unless explicitly consented by you.
You agree to use a secure and private connection for consultations, ensuring a quiet environment. Recording of audio or video during sessions, whether on mobile or online platforms, is strictly prohibited. The content of consultations must remain confidential and not be shared with any third party or on social media platforms without explicit consent.
While we take measures to ensure the security of our technology, breaches can occur. In such cases, neither the client nor the therapist holds the other responsible. Only information relevant to safeguarding life will be shared with legal authorities if necessary, with attempts made to discuss this step with the client beforehand
Our confidentiality policy complies with the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 and may be updated to reflect changes in legislation or policy.
Disclaimer: Online therapy is not recommended for acute distress. If you are feeling suicidal or at risk of self-harm, please contact your nearest hospital.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend services if a user violates these terms and conditions or engages in harmful or disruptive behaviour.

(g) release of information in the interests of public safety and security;
(h) information accessible to supervisors of therapists to ensure the quality of sessions is maintained for all clients.
MINORS
If you are under 18 years of age, please be aware that the law may provide your parents the right to examine your treatment records. It is our policy to request that we will provide parents only with general information about our work together unless we feel there is a high risk that you will seriously harm yourself or someone else.
In this case, we will notify them of our concerns. We will also provide them with a summary of your treatment when it is complete. Before giving them any information, we will discuss the matter with you, if possible, and do our best to handle any objections you may have about it. A letter of consent will be requested if the client is a minor. The letter of consent is to be signed by a legal adult who may or may not be their parent.
DUTY TO WARN
If we have reasonable grounds to believe that you pose a physical or emotional danger to yourself or others, we reserve the right to warn those at risk and to contact relevant individuals, including law enforcement and medical personnel, to prevent harm.
INTERACTION BEYOND SESSIONS
Our relationship will be strictly professional and therapeutic. To maintain the integrity of our therapeutic alliance, we must refrain from establishing any personal or business relationships with you. While we are dedicated to assisting you, we cannot engage in friendships or maintain social or personal ties. Moreover, offering or accepting gifts, bartering, or exchanging services is strictly prohibited.
Therapy aims to foster independence and self-reliance. Therefore, communication outside of scheduled sessions, such as texting or calling, will be limited to discussions regarding session timings.
Any information provided on the Psychfullness website or social media platforms is for awareness purposes only and does not constitute therapy or a helpline.
LENGTH AND NUMBER OF SESSIONS
Each session will be scheduled for a duration of 60 minutes (one hour). Additional time may be requested in 30-minute increments or through a double session (defined as 120 minutes or two hours) if deemed necessary following initial interactions with your therapist. Any extra time beyond the standard 60-minute session will incur additional charges, which will be communicated to you at the time of booking.
CONSENT TO TREATMENT
Before commencing therapy, you will be presented with a consent form outlining the agreement for treatment between you (the client) and the therapist. By signing the consent form, you voluntarily agree to receive mental health assessment, care, treatment, or services as deemed necessary by Psychfullness. You also acknowledge your right to participate in the planning of your care and to terminate such care at any time.
The therapist at Psychfullness reserves the right to discontinue therapy if their mental health or sense of security is compromised. Any individual displaying lewd or indecent behaviour or making staff feel uncomfortable or unsafe will not be provided services.
RISKS AND BENEFITS OF THERAPY
Psychotherapy involves a collaborative effort between the client(s) and the therapist, with results varying depending on the issues addressed and various factors. Engaging in therapy can lead to numerous benefits, such as reduced stress, improved relationships, and increased self-confidence. However, these benefits require active participation, honesty, and a willingness to change from the client(s). It's important to note that therapy doesn't guarantee these outcomes.
Therapy may also entail discomfort, including revisiting and discussing unpleasant memories and emotions, which can evoke strong feelings. Clients may have their perceptions challenged and may experience changes in their relationships as a result of the issues discussed. It's up to the client to decide on the status of their personal relationships.
During therapy, clients might initially feel worse before feeling better, which is a common part of the process. Personal growth and change can occur at different paces, and clients are encouraged to address any concerns about progress during sessions. If the client is a minor, there are boundaries regarding what will be discussed, which will be clarified with the parent or representative before treatment begins.
HARM TO ONESELF
Suicide, or ending one’s own life, is a tragic event with strong emotional repercussions for its survivors & families of its victims. Every therapist attempts to prevent such an unfortunate event from occurring. However, it is an impulsive act & under such unpredictable circumstances, a therapist or Psychfullness cannot be held liable for it.
It is important to note that Psychfullness is not a crisis intervention centre & therefore does not provide emergency services. Services are rendered only during the scheduled sessions. Clients who have an emergency must use local & available emergency resources.
